Trademarks
Stäubli, CS8, CS9, VAL 3 and Stäubli Robotics Suite are trademarks or registered trademarks of Stäubli International AG or its affiliates. Other product names, company names and brands in this documentation belong to their owners. They are used only to say which equipment the SDK communicates with.
UnderAutomation is an independent software publisher. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Stäubli International AG or its affiliates. This SDK is not a Stäubli product. Stäubli does not certify, review or support it. UnderAutomation provides the support of the SDK.
Protocols and interoperability
The SDK communicates with Stäubli CS8 and CS9 controllers through the SOAP server of the controller (see SOAP overview).
The SDK contains no Stäubli source code and no Stäubli binary. It installs nothing on the controller. Your controller must have the version and the settings that the features you use need.
Responsible use
The SDK can change the state of an industrial robot: it can power the arm, start and stop VAL 3 applications, move the arm and write I/O. A robot is dangerous machinery.
The safety of people and machines is the responsibility of the integrator. The SDK does not replace a safety system. You are responsible for the risk assessment of your application and for its compliance with the machinery regulations that apply to you. Test your application with the emulator of Stäubli Robotics Suite before you run it on a real robot.
Third-party components
The DLL of the SDK contains no third-party code.
The Python package needs a package that pip installs from its publisher. UnderAutomation does not redistribute it:
