Protocol implementation

This library talks to ABB robot controllers through Robot Web Services, the HTTP interface the controllers expose on the network. The implementation is written by UnderAutomation from the public ABB documentation of that interface and from testing against real and virtual controllers.

The library contains no ABB source code and no ABB binary. It installs nothing on the controller.

Third-party components

The UnderAutomation ABB SDK is fully managed .NET code and has no external dependency. It includes no third-party library and no open-source component, so no additional license notice applies.

Responsible use

This SDK can change the state of an industrial robot: it can start and stop programs, write I/O signals, move the arm and replace the calibration of an axis. A robot is dangerous machinery.

You remain responsible for the safety of the cell, for the risk assessment of your application, and for compliance with the machinery regulations that apply to you. Test your application against a virtual controller before running it on a real robot.
